The active and creative presence of St. Ann’s Home Gadag, is one of the need based requirements of the people beyond caste, class and creed. Gadag is one the District in North Karnataka in India. The inauguration of the new community took place on 6th January 2016. By Rev. Sr. Pauline Augustine, the provincial superior, Sr. Ritty John was first the superior of the new community in 2016. Most Rev. Peter Machodo, Bishop of Belgaum blessed the new community in the presence of a few priests, Sisters, Provincial superior Pauline Augustine, viceprovincial sr.Josia Rose and sisters from various congregation and parish People were witnessed blessed occasion .
The St.Ann’s Home Gadag situated in one of the under developed area, where most of the people are daily wage labours, Domestic Workers, and Migrant people. Daily wage is seasonal and the people are struggling to survive without finding the suitable any alternatives as ways for their financial requirements. Hence the uneducated women were forced to go for domestic work as an alternative to meet both the ends of the family. Most of people belongs to Hindu and Muslim community where as Christian are also prevailing here with poor economic back ground.Need of the time is the will of God” hearing the voice of God in the cries of the poor and marginalized the new shoot sprang up to give life to many. The mission here is mainly for Evangelization, Social Apostolate and Social Service. The major challenges in this area is Addicted Alcoholism, No permanentor assured job and hence no financial instability, Disunity in and among the family, No sanitary toilet and hence open defecation is common phenomenon, no potable Drinking Water facility hence water born deceases became natural phenomenon , Uneducated, under educated, unemployed and under employed youth both men and women, inadequate facilities in the government run schools, non-functional School Development and Monitoring Committee, No drainage system hence water logging and unhygienic and uncleanness is spread around the villages, No public Health Centre, No proper infrastructure and hence farmers are struggling to market their products in time, Men are the decision makers and women are not much aware of their rights and hence equity is became a cry for moon for them. St. Ann’s Home Gadag is untiringly working the comprehensive development of these people.

- Sanitation for the village
- Development activities for the Domestic workers and their daughters
- Creating Model Village
